Another Look At the Alaskan Hunter

As noted in Ammo as Art, The Alaskan Hunter .50 Beowulf rifle built by Bob Reynolds of Templar Consulting came back into the shop prior to being shipped to Mrs. Palin.

Photographer Ken Boney and I managed to get some time with the rifle, which is an exquisite rifle full of custom touches, from a one-piece barrel flashhider, to custom engraving, to a special handguard manufactured just for this rifle (and of course the custom ammunition shown in the previous post).

Here are several photos Ken composed of this very special rifle.

And of course, I made Ken take a picture of me with what is likely the most unique rifle I will ever get my hands on.

Sorry fellas, but Templar won’t make any more Alaskan Hunters. They can, however, probably make you something similar if you want a six-pound, 50 caliber rifle.

Awesome gun! Hope to get my hands on something like this one day, maybe even call it “mine”… you are allowed to dream, right?
