Just a quick followup on last night’s post.
I took my XD’s slide to a local gun shop after calling them on the phone and asking them specifically if they had the kind of equipment that could remove the rear sight on my XD.
“Sure. Come on down!”
After 20 minutes of banging, grunting, and cursing in the back, the guy came back out and handed me my slide. It hadn’t moved at all. This just reinforced my initial thought that there was nothing at all wrong with the RL Tool.
My go-to local shop told me once before they knew of a gunsmith in the area that had built a jig for his heavy duty sight pusher and had some success removing and installing XD sights. I’ll try to get in touch with him.
I really want to try out this LaserLyte RL.
